Due to the Corona virus situation,the premier of MISTAKES was transformed from December to January. The new date is Friday the 22th of January.
We are happy to announce that despite of the prevailing corona situation, we have been lucky to work on a new premier Mistakes. With the help of Wihuri's artistic grant and the support of our co-producer JoJo - Oulu Dance Centre, we've been able to expand the working group of five dancers with three live musicians. Altogether on the stage at Culture Centre Stoa, there will be eight performers, which is a huge thing for a small freelance company like ours. The performance is still in the artistic process and the end result unknown, but we can definitely say that the performance will bring something new for the company but also for our audiences.
Mistakes explores the manifestation of missteps and preferences on the stage. In the piece, five dynamic and talented dancers share the stage with three groovy musicians resulting in humorous encounters that surprise the audience with its energetic yet subtle touch. It plays with the aesthetics of excessiveness, overflow, and physical fatigue and asks whether mistakes are something to be corrected or just an inevitable part of the psychedelic flow of life.
Ultimately, Mistakes is simply a pure physical burst of joy, dance, and music.
