BLOCK - maybe we go out (2025)
Block - Maybe We Go Out is a dance piece where dance, music, acrobatics, and theater merge to portray the chaotic and expectant state of three friends. On stage, we see three friends floating through their home, trying to shut out what lies ahead.

What happens when the lives of three friends have become stuck at home? They have grand visions for the future, but the fear of change and the comfort of home constantly pour cement into their sandals. Planning the future comes easily, but putting those plans into action seems impossible. Dreams, fears, longing, and impatience swirl in the minds of these friends. Time slips by, stretches on, and procrastination turns every little task into a reason to avoid stepping outside. The home, its furniture, and the residents are constantly being rearranged, yet there’s always something else to do rather than face the future. Maybe we go out at some point, but it just never seems to happen.

The piece reflects on the future prospects of young people and young adults, and how terrifying and uncertain life can feel without the safety of home and friends.
